Respect
Stand firm.
Whatever weak position, capability or resources one may possess, just stand firm.
Never let others, to say nothing of the strong, despise and take advantage.
Weak attitude induces the arrogance of others, so never bend down own head, and never drop own eyes.
Just be yourself, and proud of yourself.
What makes people strong and generates a sense of respect is an attitude of assertion and conviction, not diffidence and servility.
Outcome
Sometimes, or very often, one may have to take on a very much reluctant and seemingly trivial task.
Even so, if one tries to do with sincerity or simply just do own best for it, it would be possible to receive something rewarding or fulfilling as an outcome.
It is difficult to specify how.
But, environment will reflect and respond in accordance with how one's attitude or life itself is.
Reward
One of the most rewarding instances in life is to have a moment when it is felt that one has been able to help someone to open a path or advance even an inch ahead, and see the face of joy.

Source
Egoism is the source of cowardice.
Courage comes from action to work for something greater than own ego.
Talents
The best way to release and fully take advantage of own talents is to take away cowardice in own mind.
In other words, courage is the only way to let the talents flow and blossom, which would otherwise remain dormant and even dead.

Happiness
Suffering can be a source of happiness.
For one can generate what is real, something essential in one's inner being, through the struggle to win over it.
One can purify the essence of life, which can revitalize, deepen and solidify own self.
Such a strength will become the very basis, which will enable one to be unwavering and courageous over whatever obstacles.
Happiness emerges when such solidity and vitality of life is actualized.
Gentleness
A real sense of gentleness can be generated by an attitude to strive for winning over own negativity, not by defeatism.
